About OTGA

Ocean Tumblers Gymnastics Association (OTGA) is a non-profit organization started by parents of OT Team members in 1998.  It is a fundraising organization run solely by parent volunteers, and is separate from Ocean Tumblers Gymnastics Schools, Inc. (OT), which is owned and operated by Diane Berry.  Even though OTGA and OT are separate organizations, the two work very closely together. OTGA’s mission is to promote the growth and development of OT Team athletes by supporting activities related to gymnastics training and competition.

OTGA was started by a group of parents who realized that help was need in order to give their athletes the support needed to continue in the sport of gymnastics, the sport they loved to do. OTGA was established to provide opportunities to the team athletes and families of OT.  OTGA hosts' activities to support team bonding for the athletes. We also provide team families a tax deductible way to raise funds to help offset the cost of gymnastics.

We are inspired to continue our mission for the sole purpose of our athletes. Our appreciation goes out to all our parents who we heavily rely on.  Without the support and volunteers from our OT team families, OTGA struggles but still perseveres to provide opportunities to OT team athletes and families.

Board Members

The responsibility of the Executive Board is to make the best decisions possible to benefit ALL OF OT TEAM. The board meets once a month and each board member is expected to attend these meetings which are scheduled at the most convenient time for the board members.

Committee chairs are not required to attend all monthly meetings.  They do need to supply a monthly report to update the executive board on the progress and needs they may have.  There may be times they are requested to attend a board meeting to discuss issues or projects.  The committee chairs are responsible, along with the OTGA Board, to solicit for committee members so the work can be distributed among several.

Are you interested in becoming a board member or a lead roll in a committee? Elections are held at the end of the competitive season. You can find a complete description of positions written in our Bylaws by clicking here.
